The Premium Curve
Your premium is set by your cumulative grams across all orders— not just what's in today's cart. Every gram you've ever bought through the curve carries forward to your next rate. Drag the slider to see the premium at any position in the cycle.
Grams accumulate across orders in 50g cycles. When you hit 50g, the cycle resets and you start fresh — but your history of completed cycles is yours forever.

Bars from LBMA-accredited refineries/mints, priced at a reasonable premium — a different model from the curve, but the same commitment to honesty.

1g Gold Splits
Standard Gold Bars and Coins
The pricing model differs — the quality standard does not. Both lines are 999.9 fine gold, LBMA-accredited refineries, and GST-exempt under Singapore's IPM scheme. You are choosing between a savings strategy and a straightforward purchase, not between good gold and bad gold.
Premium Transparency
Gold is priced in two parts: the spot price (the live international market price) and the premium (the dealer's margin above spot).
At 1Plus1Gold, we publish our premiums openly. Our 1g Splits carry a higher premium than a sealed Combibar because each piece requires individual handling, quality verification, and packaging — and the smaller unit size carries inherently higher per-unit costs. Despite this, our premiums remain below the market median.
Why Smaller Pieces Cost More?
The price of any gold piece has two components — Spot and Premium. But the premium itself is not one thing — it is two.
What makes up the total price of a smaller denomination piece like 1g
Fair Premium
The real cost of getting physical gold from the refinery to your hands. Every dealer must charge this — it cannot be avoided.
- ·Minting & refining costs
- ·Logistics, shipping & insurance
- ·Inventory holding costs
- ·Quality verification & packaging
- ·Operational viability
Sentiment Premium
When a purchase is driven by occasion, emotion or urgency rather than research, price sensitivity naturally takes a back seat. Premiums across the market tend to reflect this reality.
- ·Gifting — occasion urgency removes price sensitivity
- ·Religious & cultural events (Diwali, Chinese New Year, Eid, Weddings)
- ·Impulse purchase at jewellers or airport shops
- ·Limited knowledge of how gold pricing works
- ·Convenience — willing to pay for immediacy
1Plus1Gold charges the Fair Premium only. We publish it openly. The Sentiment Premium is not ours to collect.
